Speedy Proposal Generation
I was recently shown a new online proposal generation tool and asked to give me comments (I am not being paid for this post).
Proposal documents have parts that discuss SEO fundamentals and elements of your service that apply to all your clients. These parts tend to be standard text where you will slot in the company name as appropriate. Then there are areas that apply to the website in question that are unique to the business you are writing the proposal for.
Personally, I prefer to tailor each proposal document as much as possible. I like to do the preliminary research by hand. I feel it helps me to really get a feel for the website that I may be working with. But I am a freelancer and my client base is small. I don’t write that many proposals and when I do, I find it an interesting change to my daily grind.
But what about the larger operations? The expanding SEO providers and agencies? They tend to have people dedicated to finding new business and will be preparing proposals on a daily basis. This can be time consuming and it makes sense to try and come up with a system that speeds up the proposal writing process.
In summary, the PHP Proposal tool asks you to enter yours and the client information and the keywords you would be targetting. It carries out the preliminary searches on things such as inbound links and current ranks for specified keyphrases. When finished all the data is slotted into a pre-worded template. It’s pretty speedy and I can see where this might help anyone who is struggling to process a high amount of proposals.
I know the agencies I have worked with in the past prefer to keep their new business documents local but if you do find you are struggling to get through umpteen proposals per week and need a solution you might want to give PHP Proposal a whirl.
