Well, the default theme was very short lived because Matt very kindly pointed me in the direction of a theme called Mandigo. He said he loved it and I thought now for Matt to get excited about something it had to be good, and I was right. It was love at first sight for me to0!
Now I’ve activated it I can see exactly what the fuss is about. The extra places for widgets that mean you don’t have to edit the source files is impressive. While I know how to edit source files, being able to do it from the wordpress admin panel is so much easier and means I won’t interfere with future upgrades.
The theme options are good too, far more than I’ve seen on other themes and simple to understand too. I’ve yet to do more playing about with those.
I have noticed that due to the customisable options the source code is busier than I normally like, but I’m going to overlook that for now.
So it’s a big thumbs up from me to Tom over at OneHertz web solutions for making such a cool theme and for letting us use it for free.
