Commodore 16 and the Syntax Error

commodore-16

I asked for a New Baby Alive. I got a commodore 16.

My first experience with a computer was with a Commodore 16.

I would sit for hours copying down line after line of ‘code’ onto the black screen, spend more hours trying to find the ‘syntax errors’ in lines 120, 356, 678, 907, 1035 before pressing run. I would then delight in the fact I had ‘written a programme’ that calculated the average age of all the people in my house.

I thought I was the bees knees for about half an hour before deleting it and waiting another 30 minutes loading up Manic Miner.
