“In summary, I found Kay to be very proactive in identifying new opportunities and keen to get results. She proved to us that she understood our online business strategy and could see how good SEO could make an impact. In a tough marketplace she was able to give us good results, which helped us achieve our goals.” Will Goodridge. August 12, 2009

A free website with Getting British Business Online
Following my post yesterday (Do you really need to pay for a website) a friend @mime109 tweeted me over a website address that is offering any UK Business a free website. It all looks very official with some big name logo’s. I decided to have a look around.
Do you really need to pay for a website?
There are still a great many small businesses, volunteer organisations and charities out there that don’t have a web presence because they think it all sounds quite scary and more to the point, costly.
They don’t know who to turn to to ask for help because they think they will get blinded by science or sucked into getting something bigger than what they need.

All Category SEO Updater Tips
**Important Update**
I have just discovered the All Category SEO Updater is behind a problem I’ve been experiencing with tags (getting a blank page). If you use tags or search on your Worpress site I don’t recommend installing it which is a shame! More info: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/271978

The Best List on an SEO Blog….EVER!
I’m blogging a list! I know everyone LOVES lists as much as they like marmite so here’s my first blog post list and it’s all about ME.
It’s my birthday coming up and well I just felt like putting together a little list of things that I would like to wish for. Don’t expect world peace. I’m far more shallow than that. Here goes (donations appreciated):
A kind of an unconventional spam
I often double check the comment spam in my blogs and today I found a little message from a little ‘marketing millionaire’ called timmytruth. He wrote:
Mandigo WordPress theme rocks
Well, the default theme was very short lived because Matt very kindly pointed me in the direction of a theme called Mandigo. He said he loved it and I thought now for Matt to get excited about something it had to be good, and I was right. It was love at first sight for me to0!
I have defaulted
I can’t take it any more, everytime I look at my own blog my eyes bleed. I have reverted to the default wordpress theme until I have more time to spend finding one I like. Would love suggestions.

Cactushop Fakelinks (it’s all in the name)
I’m currently working on a clients website that uses CactuShop. While it claims to be ‘SEO Optimised’, it isn’t the most search engine friendly pieces of OSC shopping cart software I’ve worked with. Although it’s not the worst either.
Will lastminute.com be in a bad mood today?

Why on earth do they set themselves up like this?
The latest big brand making the use of twitter is lastminute.com. The marketing team have decided to invite twitters to include #badmood or #goodmood in their tweets and integrating them with a “mood of the nation map”.

Flattery gets you nowhere
Imagine how bloody annoying it is to see nothing but spam.
I’m not alien to comment spam having maintained a number of blogs for a while but you take a different kind of notice of it when it’s your own blog.
